It’s like that very important document or item,
that you place in a pocket,
and yet continually check to see if it’s there.

Or like the first time,
you send a child off to school,
and yet continually wonder how they fair.

It’s like that one special guest,
that is soon to visit you,
and yet continually check to see if the house is clean.

Or like that one morning,
you woke up smiling,
and yet continually try to revisit that dream.

It’s like life in general,
that scary film or suffering news,
and yet continually keeps you wondering at odds.

Or like faith teaches,
you learn to be without anxiety,
and yet continually be anxious for God

Psalm 139:23
Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.
